School of Education Resource Center: Instructional Materials (IMC)

This guide will help you navigate the physical and electronic resources available through the School of Education Resource Center.

Instructional Material Collection (IMC)

Our instructional material collection includes over 1,000 resources for teacher reference, assessment, lesson planning and more! In the IMC collection, you'll find:

  • Teacher reference materials, including the first 91 volumes of Children's Literature Review.

 

  • Testing and assessment kits, including the K-TEA II, K-BIT II, Brigance, Peabody, Vineland and Conners tests. Contact the Children's Librarian for copies of the consumables for many of these kits.

 

  • Professional books covering a broad range of subjects and grade levels. These include lesson planning books with reproducible handouts as well as books on standard implementation and classroom management.

 

  • Educational games and resource boxes to engage students.

 

  • Literacy kits: some with 6 copies of a book for reading circles, others with several books on a topic or theme.

 

  • Puppets, blocks, educational posters and an assortment of manipulatives for classroom use.
