Code

The United States Code (U.S.C.) is available through HeinOnline, Office of the Law Revision Counsel, GovInfo, and Cornell Legal Information Institute. The United States Code Annotated (U.S.C.A.) is available in print in the law library and is kept up to date. Faculty and students also have access to U.S.C.A. through Westlaw Precision. The United States Code Service U.S.C.S. is available through Lexis+ subscription to all students and faculty members.

General Introduction

The United States Code is published in three main publications: U.S.C., U.S.C.A., and the U.S.C.S. The U.S.C. is the official version; both U.S.C.A. and U.S.C.S. are unofficial versions of the Code. The contents of U.S.C., U.S.C.A., and U.S.C.S. are the same, but the presentation of the contents is unique to each publication.
