The HPU Libraries Catalog: Books, Videos, Articles, and More
The library's catalog searches, not just materials at HPU Libraries, but also materials from libraries anywhere.
Items accessible through our library have this indicator:
Our digital materials have either a View eBook or Access Online link that you can click to gain access:
Items we do not own can be requested via our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service... Review the box to the right of this page for more ILL information.
Each item record contains a Cite feature which provides a number of citation styles to choose from - including AMA:
What If the Library Doesn't Have What I Need?
Making Interlibrary Loan work for you!
We can request any book or article we don't own from another library through Interlibrary Loan. This typically takes 1-3 days for articles & 1-2 weeks for books. Articles will arrive in your ILL account electronically; due to publisher restrictions, books will be loaned as physical copies.
Physical materials can be shipped to your home address if you are DMS student. A delivery option is presented in the Interlibrary Loan request forms for physical books. Each item will come with a return address label.
eBooks may be purchased by HPU - if deemed a good fit for the collection* - in lieu of processing an Interlibrary Loan request. In those cases, an eBook copy could be made available in a matter of days.
*These decisions are at the discretion of our research librarians.
To complete this CHECKPOINT, you will create an ILL request form for an item:

2. Filter your results to Libraries Worldwide (on the left-hand side)
3. Choose a title ensuring it is one HPU Libraries does NOT have access to
4. Create and submit* an ILL request form for your chosen title using the catalog's ILL feature (or the link above).
*Be sure to add 'DMS TEST' to the comments field (see example below); ILL staff will confirm with your library liaison when you have successfully completed the task
5. Enter the title of your ILL request into the Word document created for the Part 1 checklist.
