Using the Law Library: Home

This guide provides an overview of how to utilize the catalog and primary legal databases at Kahn Law Library.

Using the Library Catalog

The catalog search is at the top of the Kahn Law Library homepage.

This default interface searches all materials available at High Point University.

You can limit the search to only law library materials after searching, in the menu on the left side.

Requesting Resources

This message indicates that this material is not held at any of the HPU Libraries.

Next, select "Libraries Worldwide."

Select the title of the book you want.

Select “Interlibrary Loan (ILL)” below "Request from Libraries Worldwide" on the right hand side.

How to Access Databases

These databases are accessible through the law library's website. Many of the most relevant can be found under Quick Links; the rest are housed under Legal Databases, which is under Quick Links or in the menu under Library Resources. View each tab on this guide to learn more about that database and to access it.
