This database provides access to historical coverage of scholarly journals in a wide range of disciplines. Coverage goes back to the first issue (some as far back as the 1800s), but does not include the most recent issues (usually last 3-5 years).

Course Reserves are books and other materials that your professor puts on reserve, which means an item is held at the circulation desk for access by the student of that class. Some of the reserve items are online and can be accessed through links in the course reserves as well.
If the HPU Libraries do not own an item needed for your research, you may request the item from another library through Interlibrary Loan. This service is available to HPU students, faculty, and staff. Items include books, audio and visual items, articles, microform items, etc.
One of the most useful tools for research are the guides that are created to help support your research in a particular subject area, course, or topic. The Research Guides cover general subjects as well as specific courses.
A library catalog is a listing of all the items within a library. Before computers, library books were indexed in card catalogs which were cabinets of drawers of index cards: author cards, title cards, and subject cards. Today, this information is available in digital format and our Catalog can access not only HPU Libraries' holdings, but can also search over hundreds of library catalogs around the world.
