Began in 1879, these are published by West Group. They represent an attempt to publish (and digest) all cases of precedential value from all state and federal courts.
The National Reporter System is a creation of West, now a Thomson Reuters subsidiary. It essentially publishes all state and federal reports that are generally available through several units.
