This guide outlines techniques for conducting primary research, from the process of choosing your topic to visualizing the data you collect.

You can use the links in the left-side navigation menu to access each page of the guide. While you're on a page, you'll also see the titles of each box on the page in the navigation menu, so you can easily jump to the section you need.

What is Primary Research?

Primary research refers to research that you conduct! Primary research is different from secondary research done by others.

Some examples of primary research that you might conduct are surveys, interviews, observations, and data collection.
