This Guide was adopted from the MLA Guides done by the Librarians at the McConnell Library at Radford University and the Val A. Browning Library at Dixie State College and by Lynn Library at Lynn University. 

MLA Handbook

cover of MLA handbookMLA stands for the Modern Language Association, and it provides rules for how to format your paper, cite sources in text, and cite sources in your references list. This guide will introduce you to the most basic rules  that you will need to know. For a full list of the rules, consult the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers, 7th Edition. Copies are available at Smith Library and the Wanek Center Learning Commons. Librarians are always happy to answer your MLA citation questions!
