Welcome to PA Studies! HPULibraries are here to help

HPU Libraries are here to help you succeed! With librarians on staff 24 hours a day during the school year, there is always access to materials for your research and someone available to help if you need it.

There are five main ways in which HPU Libraries can assist you:

  1. Books and eBooks – Not only do we offer our extensive catalog of books, we can also help you get books we do not have via Interlibrary Loan and through our agreement with TALA.
  2. Periodicals, current newspapers and archival copies of periodicals in paper, film and online form which are purchased and maintained to meet the research needs and the intellectual growth of our patrons.
  3. A comprehensive selection of databases with access from on or off campus.
  4. Research and citation help.
  5. Media and printing services.

Search the HPULibraries website from your mobile device here:

UpToDate Anywhere!

High Point University Libraries offers access to UpToDate via our online A-Z Database List or via the Find Articles page in this guide, but you can also access UpToDate via the UpToDate Anywhere! app for your mobile devices.

To create an account simply click on the UptoDate link and register for the mobile app by creating an account with your own personalized user name and password.

Once you have created a username and password, you can access UpToDate from any computer with an internet connection by going to www.uptodate.com and clicking the “Log in” button located on the top right of the website.

With your new UpToDate Account, you will be able to use the UpToDate Anywhere Mobile Apps, as well as have CME/CE/CPD credits tracked through your usage of UpToDate. Please go to your respective App store, and download the free UpToDate application, then use the UpToDate user name and password you created during the registration process to log in.

(For your first time clicking on the CME/CE tab, you may be prompted to reverify your account by logging in. After choosing the type of continuing education from a list, you will no longer need to log in when viewing your CME/CE tab provided you are accessing UpToDate.)

Please contact us with any questions about using UpToDate.
